What’s New!

Happy Summer Clothes Cabin friends! We’ve been busy with several exciting changes that we’re happy to share with you. Please enjoy this new format of our newsletter and thank you for catching up with Clothes Cabin.

We’re Growing!

Clothes Cabin welcomes Jennifer SarinaIn the beginning of May, we welcomed Jennifer Sarina to our team as Clothes Cabin’s Operations Assistant. We’re excited about the growth of our organization as our staff take on more defined roles of responsibility. Jenny joins staff members (pictured from left) Maxine Becker, Board President/Grant Writer; Shannon Skarphol, Executive Director; Jennifer Sarina, Operations Assistant; and Kris Walters, Community Relations Coordinator. Welcome, Jenny!

Current Needs

If you’ve been thinking about how you can help us, you’re in luck! We are in urgent need of a couple things currently: volunteers and clothing! This time of year our very savvy volunteers know how to get out of the heat. Many take several extended vacations, and some head north for the entire summer! Well, we’re still here and so are our clients and we need your help now more than ever.

Can you help us out a couple hours a week?

Keep in mind our facility is run almost entirely on volunteer labor, so your volunteer commitment to us is crucial to our operations. Oh, and we have air conditioning. 😉 Contact info@onesmallstepaz.org for more information.

If you’re wondering what to donate, for clothing right now we are critically low on boys clothing sizes 2-12. We always need children’s athletic shoes as well. Please think of our Clothes Cabin kids as they go back to school next month and donate some new clothes or shoes for them!

Thank You!

No More Chilly NightsThank you to all those who attended, sponsored, volunteered at, donated to, or otherwise helped with our February fundraiser, No More Chilly Nights! It was the best event we’ve had yet and we couldn’t pull it off without all the assistance we received. We will be having another Chilly Nights next year, so be on the lookout for more information in the Fall.
